Britten-Norman flies first fully UK-built Islander aircraft after repatriating production
Britten-Norman conducted the first flight of an Islander light transport built entirely in Britain, ending years of assembling major airframe sections manufactured overseas. The BN2B-26 took off from Bembridge Airport on the Isle of Wight and has entered flight testing. The company has not disclosed production rates or order backlog.
