Ukraine fields Alexa Spatium turbojet-powered drone interceptor for Shahed threats
Ukraine's Defense Forces have deployed the Alexa Spatium, a domestically developed turbojet-powered interceptor drone designed to counter fast, low-flying threats including Russia's Shahed-type loitering munitions. The jet-powered aircraft can engage aerial, ground, and surface targets.
Why it matters: Kyiv is fielding jet propulsion to chase down Iranian-derived drones — a technology leap that NATO allies have barely prototyped for the same mission.
