Edgewing opens first GCAP engineering site in Turin, plans 1,000 staff
The GCAP joint venture has opened its first national engineering facility in Turin, Italy, with plans to employ 1,000 staff coordinating Italy's contribution to the UK-Italy-Japan sixth-generation fighter. British and Japanese sites are scheduled to follow in the coming months. The programme aims to deliver a successor to Typhoon and F-2 by the mid-2030s.
