General Dynamics, Ford and Ricardo team on UK Light Mobility Vehicle bid with Ranger platform
General Dynamics Land Systems has partnered with Ford Motor Company and Ricardo to compete for the UK Ministry of Defence's Light Mobility Vehicle programme. The consortium is proposing a militarised version of the Ford Ranger, Europe's best-selling pickup for 11 consecutive years according to General Dynamics UK. The LMV competition will replace aging Land Rover platforms across the British armed forces.
