Japanese Terra Drone's Terra B1 passes ATLA fast-track evaluation, moves to production
Terra Drone's Terra B1 interceptor has emerged as the only entrant to clear Japan's fast-track evaluation conducted by the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency, Defence Industry Europe reports. The company is now preparing for volume production of the domestically manufactured counter-drone system.
Why it matters: Japan's ATLA just validated one of the few indigenous counter-UAS interceptors in Asia — a signal that Tokyo is prioritizing domestic supply over proven Western systems.
